It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog, so I’m quite demotivated but I promise I will keep trying my best to keep updating this blog.

One thing that is keeping me excited is that my birthday is in 10 days!  I can’t believe I’m going to be 19 and I’m excited to spend my birthday with some cool peeps in Chicago and my co-works.

Which brings me to two things:

First of all, I’m so happy to be here with some awesome people in Chicago!  It’s so much fun to do things without the restriction of school work holding us back from having fun and creating new experiences.  It just makes me appreciate the people here and also the friends that I’ve made at Loyola that aren’t in Chicago at the moment.  On the days that I have time to hang out, they’ve taught me how to appreciate the good times and & good—genuine company as well.

Secondly, I am still really excited about work this summer.  Getting to know people, I’m really honored and blessed to work with these powerful leaders and amazing individuals as well.  More so, I’m very excited to start working with students.  This will be my first summer where I am going to be productive, meeting A LOT of new people, and create unique and rewarding experiences.  My main goal is making a difference on someone else’s life.  Again relating to my career, it doesn’t matter what field I’m going into, I really hope that this job will allow me:

  • how to become a better and more efficient leader
  • learn to work with new people
  • become more understanding with social issues
  • create lasting relationships
  • become a more engaged listener
  • acquire adaptability skills
  • make a difference

Knowing that these possibilities will exist is so exciting to me and I really hope I can put these into effect and leave as a better person.

Ready for an awesome season!!!

I have to get up in six hours, but today me and the other college coaches are going to LUREC for a retreat.  I’m really excited because I’m actually going with a group to get to know them and genuinely want to be there (at least I hope) since my 360 retreat wasn’t too spectacular (unmotivated discussion leader, lack of participation from other students, etc).  Regardless, I’ve met some other coaches already and I’m very excited to get to know all of them and create a positive, rewarding and productive summer.

I hope I can look back at this post in 4 months and agree that I made a great decision!

Man today was just one of those days were it was good vibes, good people, okay-ish food, and great experiences.  Just went downtown with Trisha, Brigid, Joshwa, Shaun, Ferd, Alexa & Levvin, but I really appreciate good company and good times!

I feel like I’ve been failing this blog.  However, I just moved into my new dorm room and I’m so excited to start my summer off with this new job!

I haven’t been updating this blog in a while, but i’ll just say being home makes me happy.  It’s just nice to do nothing for a bit and relax my mind away from the stress of school and reflect on what I want to do with my life hahaha.  Other than that, I’m really happy to be going back to school in a couple of days for my new job.  Again, I like being home but there’s gonna be a point where I won’t know what the day is and wake up at 3 PM, and that’s just not healthy.  Looking forward to a productive summer!

Getting A’s in classes you worked really hard for!  Such a relief and and I feel so accomplished and satisfied :3

My mom and dad came out to have lunch with me. I really miss my family and being home and growing up just makes me realize that these moments will eventually stop and I need to cherish these moments more often. Especially after finals, it’s nice to take a break from academics.

  • Me: I try to bullshit, but whenever I try to I always get the answer wrong
  • Hieu: Well, obviously you're not good at bullshitting...duh
